Naughty Nights Press turns 1 YEAR OLD! Celebrate with prizes!

Naughty Nights Blog Hop
Yes, that's right. Naughty Nights Press, dream-child of Gina Kincade, result of all her hardwork, as well as that of all of us, is celebrating the first anniversary! And to celebrate, we're doing a blog hop, with lots of prizes to give away! The Naughty Nights Press blog itself has 13 prizes including (US residents only) the grand prize of a Kindle Touch with 2 NNP ebooks (backlisted from Amazon), and 12 runner up prizes of randomly chosen (backlisted) NNP ebooks! Then each individual blog has their own prizes. I only have 1 prize, to give to 3 lucky readers!
Some of you may remember last year The Naughty Pages hosted The 12 Days of Naughty Giveaways. It was an exhausting event to put together but it was a blast, with 14 writers, including myself, participating with a short story each (there was an intro and closing post, on top of one for each day). To thank those writers, I made the short stories in to an anthology, which was kept private. Until now. With permission of the other 13 writers I am pleased to give away 3 copies to lucky readers at the end of this blog hop!

So what do you have to do to win a copy? Good question! Well I'm going to tell you!
I currently have a short story, Joanna's Rush, in a free anthology called Postcards of Passion through Naughty Nights Press. It involved a Demi-God known as The Lover, who brings love back to those who have given up for whatever reason. I'm wanting to write an anthology about a few of his "cases", but I would like to hear from you, the reader, what you would like to read. Maybe you have a friend who has lost the hope for love. Or maybe your Auntie? Leave some ideas about the characters who have lost the will to look for love, and I will pick the best three ideas! Not only will the three winners end up with a copy of the Christmas Anthology from the Giveaways last year, you will also have your character (with a name of your choice OR your own!) appear in The Lover's Lovers when it's finished! Double incentive to enter. What's not to love?
Just leave your name, email address and your idea in a comment below, and once the hop is over, I will announce and notify the winners! Oh, and don't forget to hop on over to the Naughty Nights Press blog to enter the main contest to win one of the many prizes mentioned above, and check out the many other blogs participating. You might or might not win on The Naughty Pages, but there are plenty of contests to enter! Best of luck to you all, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAUGHTY NIGHTS PRESS!! May this be the first of MANY successful years!

Review of Kim Faulks' Hells Angel, first book in the No Angel series

When I think Kim Faulks, I think of dark, gritty writing of the paranormal, and Hells Angel did not disappoint. I was quickly drawn in by an intricate plot, dark scenes lit with flickering fluro signs and strong characters eager for their own salvation.

Kellah, a demon, is a badass chick, eager to get back to Hell, to her home. Detective Hunter has lost almost everything and is determined to make what seems to be a last stand by taking down Kellah for the criminal scum she is, without realising just how dangerous his fixation is. The heat of hate between these two is thick, and intoxicating. Other minor characters still stay with me, long after they’re gone because even they play their own part in shaping the story.

The darkness in Hunter’s past that ruined a fine detective are is slowly revealed and explicit, highly emotional and devastating. Every step along the sorry tale unravelled the story with a surprising event and jaw-dropping bombshell. Ms Faulks knows just how to keep her audience hooked and every book she writes, she expands on that skill. I thrilled in the first three books of her Fire and Ice series but Hells Angel takes the cake. This is her best so far, and I, for one, will be awaiting, eagerly, for all coming books from this fantastic author! Never put that pen down, Kim, all your hard work is clear and the finished product is wonderful!

Promo Monday with Karenna Colcroft AND A GIVEAWAY!!

Fated to be Mated

There’s a trope in romance that I’ve seen referred to as “fated to be mated.” It’s most prevalent in paranormal romance, of course, but it sometimes shows up in other romance genres as well. It’s when one person (vampire, werewolf, whatever) sees the other and knows instantly that they’re meant to be
together, they can’t live without the other person, they are mates. For life, however long that might be for the paranormal creature involved, if there is one.

Fated to be mated can be amusing sometimes. There have been stories where characters who are complete opposites and can barely stand each other turn out to be mates. Sometimes that’s played for laughs; sometimes the characters end up falling in love in spite of themselves.
Since I write paranormal romance involving werewolves, among other things, I use the fated to be mated trope. In my universe, werewolves can love anyone, but each werewolf has one other wolf in the world who is destined to be their mate. Sometimes they’re fortunate enough to find each other; sometimes the pairing makes no sense when they do come together. And sometimes they never find that mate.
In my novel Beta Test, which came out June 16 from Passion in Print Press, Justin Ruel is a no-nonsense pack Beta who isn’t sure he’ll ever find his mate. When he does find her, on the Boston subway, he’s astonished to realize she’s human. Werewolves are not supposed to have human mates, though it happens occasionally. Justin is afraid for Tareth’s safety; Tareth, when she learns the truth about Justin, is afraid he’s insane. Will the mating bond—or their love—be enough to keep them together?
This coming Saturday is my birthday, so I’m celebrating all week with guest blog appearances and gifts for my readers. Comment here to be entered in a prize drawing; one name will be drawn to receive an autographed print copy of Beta Test (U.S. and Canada only, I’m afraid) or a PDF copy of the book if you’re in another country. Another winner will receive a deck of Ellora’s Cave playing cards, featuring book covers and the Ellora’s Cavemen, and three others will receive a pair of romance trading cards featuring Kyle Slidell and Tobias Rogan from my M/M romance series Real Werewolves Don’t Eat Meat. (No mailing restrictions on the cards.)
And for those who doubt “fated to be mated” exists in real life: My husband and I have been together literally since five minutes after we met, four years ago. We looked into each other’s eyes while introducing ourselves, and that was it. If we weren’t fated to be mated, I don’t know what else to call it.

Beta Test can be purchased from the publisher, http://passioninprint.com/ShowBook.php?10=KC_BETATEST, or on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.com, or AllRomance Ebooks.

EXCERPT from Beta Test:
As they walked out of the subway station, Justin fought the urge to hold Tareth’s hand. Eventually, he might earn her trust enough to be able to touch her. Right then, she didn’t know him well enough.
She wouldn’t understand why he felt such a strong need. Even if he got to know her better, he wasn’t sure he’d dare to tell her he thought she was his mate. She was human. Humans weren’t supposed to know about werewolves.
At least he’d talked her into going for coffee. He’d watched her on the subway for a few weeks now. The first time he’d seen her, he’d been drawn to her. His intense reaction had kept him from speaking to her beyond small talk until today. He’d been too worried about scaring her off. Seeing her standing alone this morning, he hadn’t been able to resist saying something to her. Especially since she’d looked like she wanted to cry when the announcement had come that the train would be delayed.
He’d thought she actually would cry when her boss fired her. He’d been completely serious when he’d offered to try to persuade her boss to rehire her. If he’d been able to do anything at all to help her, he would have. The only thing he could think of to do was offer to pay her bills until she found a new job.
That, too, would cross boundaries he didn’t want to cross yet.
“Which shop do you want to go to?” he asked, nodding toward the two coffee shops on opposite corners.
“They’re multiplying.” Tareth looked from one to the other. “Does it really matter?”
It did to Justin. He wanted to make her happy, as strange as it seemed to feel that way about a woman he didn’t know. He hadn’t even known her name until that morning. He’d heard about things like this happening to other people. Love at first sight, some weird connection, whatever. His friend Ludovic had claimed he’d felt something like that when he’d met his mate.
She’s human. No way in hell she’s my mate.
For a little while, at least, he could pretend she was. He could take her to coffee and let himself believe he might have a future with her. The kind of future he might have had if a fucking werewolf hadn’t attacked him one night during his senior year at Boston University.
He’d been planning to be a lawyer and marry Sharon, the woman he’d been dating for two years. Instead, he did legal research for the City Pack, the largest werewolf pack in New England. He was on the payroll of the company owned by his alpha, and as the beta of the pack he had his choice from among the unmated females.
He hadn’t wanted any of them since the day he’d first seen Tareth.

What a week!!

Well, still studying hard, this week's load had me a bit worried. I had to do the usual discussion participation, though in the Humanities unit it was about our power point presentation topics for later this study period (SP), I'm going to be doing how culture influences identity, then the sociology one was a breeze! Of course then I had to outline my essay for humanities and write my sociology assignment. I was expecting there to be a last minute panic today, as it's all due by midnight. Much to my ENORMOUS relief, I finished the last bit on Thursday afternoon so that gave me 3 days to write and read more of Kim Faulk's Hell's Angel for review.

So that brings me to more excitement. Early last week (or maybe the week before... no, last week) I woke up with a dream clear in my head so, instead of doing uni that day I sat down and wrote a little over 5000 words on a new story, starting from this dream. I hadn't been able to touch it since, but Friday I sat down and smashed out the rest, with more added to the end plus editing done on Saturday. I have now submitted it to Naughty Nights Press as a Naughty Hot Shot, titled Return of Their Master. Guess at the genre? No? Tsk tsk. This is Phoenix we're talking about. It's gotta be parnormal! Alright, Acapello's Lady isn't, but that's beside the point. It's horses, another obsession of mine. Anyway back on topic. It's a paranormal romantic thriller:

Angie, Mary, Sarah and Alice are vampire sisters, Created by their master, Vitalis. A hundred years ago they ran away from their Father after enduring countless beatings after he goes insane from a blood-sickness, contracted after he feeds from a diseased victim.

The girls now run a store of their own and have new lives. Angie even has a love interest: Jake, who almost died in a car crash. She denies her love, as Vitalis has returned and is looking for them. She knows Jake would be in danger if Vitalis knew how close they were. When Jake refuses to leave unless she tells him straight to his face that she doesn't love him, she turns his world upside down as she finally tells him the truth...

A sudden searing burst of pain in my mind tore me away from him. I knew this couldn’t be part of the bond; something evil had wrenched me from the moment of rapture.

Hello,Evangeline. The voice rang inside my head, a voice I had come to dread. Vitalis was back and he wasn’t going to wait.

I tried to ignore him but he wouldn’t let me.

Did you really think you could escape me forever? I let you and your sisters have your freedom to play but I’m here to take back what is mine.

His voice made my mind feel greasy as though his insanity was a contagious disease. I’m never going back to you, Vitalis. None of us are. You’re insane and cruel.

I was insane for a while, but I’m cured. I promise you I’m the real me once more. Please, Evangeline. Come back to me. His tone sounded sincere but he had taught me better than that.

I’m sorry, Father. But until you can prove to us that you are cured of your infliction we will not return. We have lives here and we will fight to keep them.

A growl came across the link before it snapped shut, hurling me back in to my now limp body, lying on the floor by the couch while Jake and my sisters crouched over me. I gasped air in to my lungs, taking it in big gulps as I sat up, startling the people I loved.

Before they could ask how I was I spoke the three words I knew would frighten my sisters. “Vitalis is back.”
*Cue dramatic music*
At 9 993 words (before more edits), this has been submitted to Naughty Nights Press. Here's hoping that it will soon be one of the many fantastic Hot Shots already released by NNP!

What else is there... Oh yes, my continued reading of Hell's Angel for review. I'm working through it slower than usual only because of Uni, but it is a dark and gritty read, certainly Kim's best so far. That's not easy, though, as her Fire and Ice series is, forgive the slang, off the hook! Stay tuned for the review to come soon, might be Tuesday, Thursday or Friday, no later. Don't forget Promo Monday tomorrow, with Karenna Colcroft, and I have a midweek promo for a naughty poetry release by Sherry Tooker.

Oh, last quick *squee* moment. You may remember a couple months back The Naughty Pages participated in a birthday blog hop for Brenda and Louise. From that blog hop, by commenting on one of the blogs I got myself a swag bag, full of postcards and bookmarks from many wonderful authors! In fact, here's the photo of it all --->>>

I must apologise for the length of today's post, I'm not normally quite this chatty on here but it has been a while since my last update and quite a bit has happened since then. (Including starting the Primal Caveman lifestyle and losing a couple inches and almost 2 kg's in the first stage!) I'll try to update more often, but until then stay naughty (not too naughty!) and keep watching out for Promo Mondays, the occasional review as well as midweek promos!

Promo Monday with Kim Faulks and her No Angel series

With a cover like this, how could you resisit?
Today I am utterly thrilled to welcome fellow Aussie author Kim Faulks. You may remember her from the Fire and Ice series I've been reviewing as they come out (and I'm super eager for the next one!!). She's here today with a new series, the first book Hell's Angel which I am currently reading for review and, surprise surprise, loving it! Stay tuned for the review during the week. For now, read a bit about this new book that has me wanting to temporarily forget I'm doing Uni!

Let's see how you like them after a few hundred years, her father The Accuser had said as he cast Kellah Slater from her home, into a land of unemployment, mortgages and a declining stock market… welcome to Earth.

To survive Kellah does what she does best, steal, lie and cheat. So, when she forces a human male in an alley to part with his wallet, she thinks no more about it… But the human male does.

Detective Darrion Hunter has lost everything his wife, his daughter, his soul… and now his wallet. Kellah is everything he despises, everything he hates and he will sacrifice all to see her where she belongs, behind bars.

In this world that she calls Hell, Kellah will begin to learn the true nature of her demonic self, while also uncovering her unearthly connection to her greatest enemy, Darrion Hunter.

Is Darrion Hunter her own personal demon… or is he her path to her salvation?

Excerpt:

The red neon sign flickered randomly and sometimes illuminated only half of the Murkill unit's sign, which is the reason Kellah chose to live here. Everyone knew that no one stayed long at Killer Place, alive or dead. So, for her it was perfect, because it was usually quiet.
Her mood should have lightened after playing with the humans outside the bar, but it didn't. All she needed to think about was the money.
She was mad as hell that she had almost been busted tonight, having to dump the gold down some storm drain to keep from spending the next three to five locked-up. Detective Hunter was more than just a pain in her arse, he was living up to his name and becoming more resourceful than she had previously given him credit for.
There was something else that bugged her, though. Some sense of change inside her that seemed to be making its presence known, niggling like a festering disease. She knew from the cold empty feeling in the pit of her stomach that if she didn't get back home soon, she was going to be in some seriously deep shit.
This overwhelming fever had come only once before in her existence, but the result had been cataclysmic. The after effect had found her standing before her Father on trial for her actions. By rights, her flesh should have been ripped from her bones repeatedly for the rest of her existence, the most tortuous punishment there was. But her Father, The Accuser, had done something she hadn't expected ... he had sent her here.

Ooooh I've passed this bit in the book, it's really great! Oh look at me, gushing over a book that I haven't finished and am supposed to be writing a professional sounding review for... But I can't help myself with a few authors, and Miss Kim here is one of them! You've done it again, lady!

Promo Monday with Gemma Parkes' Making Waves

Another Monday has rolled around and this week I'm pleased to welcome Gemma Parks to the Naughty Pages!

Hi Phoenix, thank you for having me over on your blog today. I really like what
you have done with the place!

Well thank you Gemma! The dark colours are so... me!

How are things with you? I have been really busy the past few weeks with the release of an anthology with yellow silk dreams that includes one of my stories, ‘Scarlet’ and the release of my latest short novella ‘Making waves’ immediately after it. I have barely had time to socialise so it’s really great to take some time out and visit somewhere new.
Well then I'm glad I could have you here today.
Let me tell you about ‘Making Waves’.
Short synopsis:
This story contains explicit sex and is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.
Mandy knew that it would take more than a short holiday to a quiet seaside town to turn her struggling relationship with long time partner John into one of passion and honesty. But when help and advice was offered from a voyeuristic stranger by dubious means, it opened the floodgates to her inner desires and darkest fantasies. I wanted to write something from the heart, something thought provoking and emotional. There is a lot of ‘me’ in this particular story and l am calling on personal experience in some of the scenes. No, I’m not telling you which ones! Though maybe, if we finish up this wine…!
The story is written from Mandy’s viewpoint. She is in an unfulfilling relationship
with her long time partner John. John is a selfish man, blind to Mandy’s needs,
although it would be fair to say that Mandy is not good at expressing those needs.

They find it difficult to communicate on any level and, although they have sex, it is purely a physical act that leaves Mandy filled with frustration. The need to pleasure herself rises often:
Placing one hand on the cold tiled walls Mandy reached around the front of her
body and worked her fingers inside her aching sex. It felt so good to be filled this way, by her own caring fingers that knew just how she liked to be touched. She moved them backwards and forwards inside herself in a slow, steady rhythm feeling her desire increasing as the slow throb from her clit grew in its intensity and begged to be relieved. Gathering her fluids from inside her onto her fingertips she began to stroke the hard, swollen nub up and down and round and round loving the way this felt. She thought about sex, uninhibited raw passion and began to increase the pressure from her fingers rubbing them faster against herself. She was barely able to keep her body steady and her hand tried to slide down the tiles which had become very slippery from her escaping breath. She thought about how it would feel to be loved by two men
both eager to please her and closed her eyes as she visualized their pounding cocks entering her body at different points. She tilted her head backwards and closed her eyes visualizing the intense scene. Her thumb became the imagined cock behind her as her fingers rubbed and circled her tingling, throbbing flesh. In her minds eye she could see the men who were thrilling her, she was sandwiched between them as they made her their own. She was a wanton plaything to them taking all they could give her and begging for more of their eager passion, she could almost feel them sliding inside her mouth and her pussy simultaneously taking her…

As the story unfolds we meet an unusual sex therapist, Craig. He advertises his
unconventional work by dubious means. On a shared boat trip to a small island, Craig stumbles across the couple having sex outdoors in the grounds of a grand, old house. Unimpressed by what he sees he pursues Mandy until, drained and frustrated she relents and agrees to meet up with him in the village library.
This excerpt is further into the story. Mandy is on a sofa in Craig’s office
describing to him one of her many sexual fantasies:

“I open my mouth,” she started again her voice small but husky. “So that he can put himself inside me, he is hard and thick leaking juices from his swollen glans as he slides along my tongue and fills me. I’m throbbing as l think of him and my fingers begin working faster. I imagine being turned over and having my hips held firmly as the second man enters my waiting pussy.”
Mandy lay back on the couch and opened her legs slightly. She dropped one hand down to press firmly against her now throbbing clit. Her eyes were tight shut; she could only see the navel in her minds eye of the man who was taking her mouth. “I have both men inside me,” she stutters, “I can feel their hardness, feel my body respond. I am wet and swollen, jutting up my ass to meet the long, slow thrusts from the lover behind me. My hair is held firmly by the man in front as he slides himself more urgently along my tongue. I can see him, taste him. He is sweating and grunting as he pushes back and forth inside me.”
Mandy rubs her hand sub consciously across her swollen sex, buried underneath
the small cotton shorts. Her breathing is laboured and her voice falters.
“My hips are grabbed harder as the pounding behind increases, he…it’s…so fast
now, so hard. I am being pushed onto the man in front and l am gagging as he also increases his speed. I am sandwiched between them being used for their pleasure, but my own is threatening to erupt. I can feel my orgasm…it’s…they’re going to fill me soon and l will… oh God.”

The story has an unexpected twist at the end. I don’t want to spoil the ending here for anyone wishing to read it, but basically all is not as it seems!
Making Waves is available only on Amazon Kindle Select at the present time.

Thank you so much for having me over Phoenix, l have had a lovely time!
Gemma Parkes

You're most welcome, Gemma, so glad to host you! That was one super hot tease of an excerpt! I look forward to seeing more from you.

Blurb:

Lila Walker has batted lead-off in Colton De Marco's fantasies for years, and now that he's
stumbled upon her sunbathing in the nude, he decides to take his best swing.
Coping with her ogre-in-law, her inability to collect her late husband's life insurance, and the
knowledge the entire town’s counting the days she wears widow's weeds,
Lila decides some between-the-sheets batting practice is just the distraction she needs--even if
their sexy scrimmage won’t last the summer.
But is she missing Colton's signals that he's in it to win it?
And can Colton knock it out of the park with the attractive widow before his thirteen-year-old
nephew’s foul attitude gets him thrown out of the game?

Excerpt:
Pete Walker's taste in land was every bit as good as his taste in women, Colton judged as he
stepped off the driveway onto the steps leading around back.
The first thing he noticed was the wheelchair ramp built over the steps. That was new
since the last time he'd towed a vehicle away from the Walker's. He realized he hadn't been
to their back door since Pete's accident. The last car he'd towed from here had been their son
Charlie's Jeep. That had been almost two years back; the day after Charlie had pitched for the
high school baseball team, winning the state championship, then shocked the whole town by
turning down his scholarship to the state university in favor of joining the Marines.
If possible, the sight of the ramp, the solid, sloping reminder of Pete's misfortune, made
him feel worse about his stubbornly lingering chubby. But thoughts of his sad, silent nephew
made him trudge to the top anyway, the guilt he felt over the lust he nurtured for Lila unable to
trump his need to put a smile on that kid's face.
He was almost to the back door when he stopped dead in his tracks. His conscience began
screaming for him to turn around. Shrieking at him, in fact, to get the hell off this deck and go
back to his truck.
But his legs were suddenly as rigid as his dick.
He could hear the thousand tiny devils begin sharpening their blades.
Because his abruptly short-circuited brain was sending the message to his already primed
cock that Lila Walker was lying in the sun on her very private deck, wearing nothing but an
oversized pair of sunglasses and a coat of coconut-scented oil.
He might go straight to hell in a big ball of fire, but Colton couldn't help staring at her.

If Pete himself had rolled out on the deck at this very moment, Colton still might not have been
able to move. Not before taking in her full breasts, tipped in dark rose, their color something
he'd wondered about for so long. Not before noting with approval the half-dollar size of her rosy
areolas, his fingers clenching at the sight of the big, surprisingly lengthy tips. He let his gaze
linger in the deep cleft between her breasts, a spot that would cuddle his cock even better than
he'd always imagined. She probably thought her full breasts were too heavy, but Colton thought
them perfect. He doubted even his large palm could completely capture one.
He took another look at her sexy belly button, noting with some dim part of his brain that
it was still a repository for her sweat. A tiny white scar beneath the sexy indent hadn't been there
the last time he'd laid eyes on her midriff.
Her hips might be slightly wider than they had been that day by the side of the road, and
her belly was a bit rounder, but she looked even better now, he thought with approval. There was
nothing to stop a man from really pounding out his lust on this particular body.
And, saving the best for last, since the devil was likely choosing Colton's permanent pain
palace at this exact moment, he raked his gaze over her pussy. Her heels were at either edge of
the wide chaise, giving him a glorious view of her feminine lips, which were edged in a deeper
rose than even her nipples, like an orchid he'd seen in some flower shop window recently. And
he was still going to have to wonder whether or not she was a natural blond, since her gorgeous,
gleaming pussy was waxed as bare as the day she'd been born.
His fantasies hadn't done her justice. Not even close.
Damn her, he thought as he studied her folds, feeling his jaw clench and a coil of tension
begin in his lower back. He was no longer some horny teenager, but once again, Lila Walker
had him on the verge of coming in his jeans. Because unless he was sadly mistaken, it appeared
Lila had masturbated before falling asleep. Her pussy was still open and the lips surrounding
her enticing entrance were slightly swollen, her bare flesh gleaming with juices that had his
mouth watering to taste them. He could see the wetness staining the cushion beneath her a darker
shade of green. Apparently, she'd given herself one hell of an orgasm before nodding off in the
sun. Must have been recently, too, he realized. He fancied he even saw her clit throb. She was
practically still creaming.
And she still belonged to another man, one he liked and respected. One she loved. Guilt-
sharpened shame flayed him as Colton realized with horror that he'd crossed the deck towards
her without meaning to. Turning his back on her bare form was one of the hardest things he'd
ever done, but Colton quietly spun around, praying to God she didn't wake. Lila had the right
to masturbate on her own deck, and she probably had to, since Pete's accident had left him
paralyzed from the neck down. But he'd had no right to see the proof.
The sound of a neighbor cranking his lawn-tractor might as well have been the jet
engines firing up on the rocket-ship he'd ride into Hell.
The voice she used in his fantasies when she begged him to fuck her stopped him dead in
his tracks before he'd taken two silent steps.
"Examined and rejected, how depressing. Tell me Colton, how old is the lucky lady that's

going to be the recipient of that most impressive bulge in your jeans?"

So my first week of University is gone already and I must say that, despite dreading Humanities and Sociology, I have actually found both subject very interesting. They cross paths and it is in my Sociology unit that I have found an excellent source of research for my Humanities essay. Both of these units should also help my writing, in that they'll help me delve deeper in to interactions between people and groups, societies, and how those interactions are the way they way due to the age, gender, culture, class etc of the people/groups to whom they belong. This should lead to some very interesting experimenting with the relationships between my characters!

So with that in mind, I am delighted to say that the short story "Grammy's Last Gift" that I wrote for a competition (that I was unable to enter due to it being only open to US residents, I just wrote the short for fun) a few months back is now slowly unfolding to become The Coven; a paranormal thriller with a hint of Underworld and the underlying cruel tones of humanity. The Coven is going to be a harsh, gritty tale of a Vampire Queen's struggle to accept her role while keeping her coven protected from a threatening enemy. I won't give away too many details just yet, as The Coven is still in early stages of being written. But I promise a thrilling read completely different to the lighter paranormal writing that will be released in the form of Wolf in the Neighborhood and the rest of the Wolf Smitten trilogy.

Please stay tuned as I continue my studies for my degree as well as promoting fellow authors every week and the occasional review. That's right, I am still doing reviews, just fewer of them and they will take longer now as well. My next review will be in a couple weeks or so, of Hell's Angel by Kim Faulks, who has been on The Naughty Pages before with her Fire and Ice Series. From time to time I will provide an update of my studies and writing progress so The Phoenix won't be far at all. For now, I hope you all enjoy your weekend, as I enjoy mine, spending time getting to know Arabella, Silas and even Baylock more as I delve in to The Coven...
