This week I'm thrilled to welcome back Karenna Colcroft! This time she's talking about her soon-to-be-released Dancing Away, contest included! Be one of the first to get your hands on this new novella!
A Blast from the Past
Do you ever think about that special someone from your high school days? The one who made your heart skip a beat just by smiling at you? The one you hoped for a happily-ever-after with? Maybe you’re one of the fortunate few who found their true match in high school. Or maybe it took a little longer.
In my new M/M contemporary novella Dancing Away, Merit Hartwick wanted his special someone to be Cole Dellany. But Cole was a jock and hung out with the guys who bullied Merit mercilessly. Until the night of their senior prom, Cole never participated in the bullying. That night, though, he broke Merit’s heart.
A decade later, Cole returns to Merit’s life with two confessions: he’s gay and he wants Merit. Can a closeted former jock and a distrustful ballet dancer overcome past hurts and make a life together? Find out by reading Dancing Away, releasing August 16 from Pink Petal Books (http://pinkpetalbooks.com).

Who was your high school “someone”? Tell me about him or her in the comments and you’ll be entered to win a PDF copy of Dancing Away. Contest will close Friday, August 17, at noon Eastern. (US Time)
Excerpt from Dancing Away:
He allowed Merit to move him, and they inched sideways without taking hands or lips off one
another until they bumped against the bed. Then Merit broke the kiss and, grinning, shoved Cole
onto the mattress.
Cole pinwheeled his arms, trying to keep his balance, but fell onto his back. He glared up at
Merit, who stood laughing. “You think that’s funny?”
“I think you’re exactly where I wanted you and this was the easiest way to get you there.”
Merit unfastened his slacks but didn’t remove them. “It’s sweet that you’re so shy with me.
Believe me, I understand. I don’t want to push this too far too fast either. But if we keep dancing
around each other, we’ll never get to what we really want.”
“I want to see you.” Cole propped himself on his elbows. “All of you. Please.”
“Only if you show me yours.”
Cole licked his lips, partly out of nerves and partly at the anticipation of tasting Merit once
they were both out of their clothes. He’d been startled at Merit’s sudden move, but he saw the
point. They’d been moving so slowly nothing would ever have happened.
“I’ll show you,” he promised.
“I know you will.”
Merit pushed his slacks and briefs to the floor and stepped out of them. Nude, he was
magnificent. His dancer’s body, accentuated by muscles, was in perfect proportion. His long
cock stood hard. And Merit obviously had no qualms about showing himself to Cole. He put his
hands on his hips and smiled down, standing as confidently as if he were fully clothed. “What do
you think?”
“I think you’re the hottest thing I’ve ever seen.” Cole slowly scanned the other man’s body,
desire rushing through him. This was the body he had touched. And would be touching again
very soon. The body that would be against his, under or on top, he didn’t know which and at that
moment didn’t care. All that mattered was that he and Merit would be together.
“Now it’s your turn,” Merit said.
Cole stood and removed his jeans and boxers. The moment he was naked, heat flooded his
face. Other men had seen him unclothed, but none had scrutinized him the way Merit was doing.
None of their gazes had been so tangible, like fingers running lightly over his skin. He was
suddenly shy again and battled the urge to cover his cock with his hands.
Merit kissed his shoulder. “I could look at you all day. You’re blushing, do you know that?”
“I know.”
“Why?” Merit traced a fingertip down the center of Cole’s torso, stopping just short of the
tip of his cock. “You aren’t ashamed to be here with me, are you?”
“Of course not.” Cole drew a shuddering breath, waiting to see where Merit would touch
him next. “I don’t know how to act with you.”
“You’re doing fine.” Merit moved his finger a tiny fraction closer to Cole’s cock. “Do you
want me to touch you, Cole? Do you want me to put my hand around your dick? Or would you
rather have my mouth? You want me to tell you what I like. Tell me what you like.”
“Everything.” The word erupted from Cole’s throat as desire roared into hunger. “Please,
god, I want everything with you. Everything we never dared to ask for from each other before.”
